The Jesus myth
The New Testament talks about the life and miracles of Jesus, but what do
historical records tell us? Historians typically examine old documents and
artefacts to substantiate commonly held views. Following are quotes from The
Christ Conspiracy.

virgin," his lineage is traced to the House of David through Joseph, such
that he may "fulfil prophecy".

| In the first chapter of Matthew the geneology of Jesus is given as the
twenty-eighth generation from David down through Joseph to Christ. In the
third chapter of Luke the same geneology is given as being the forty-third
generation from Christ through Joseph to David. This is a very remarkable
oversight on the part of the translators, for if there was anything they could
