Resophonic PartsIf you need resophonic parts I hold the largest stock in Australia. If I don't have or can't get it, its probably not available. I only sell what I consider to be the best quality parts at value for money prices. PLEASE NOTE: PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE POSTAGE. I DON'T CHARGE FOR HANDLING AND ONLY CHARGE WHAT THE POST OFFICE CHARGES UPGRADES, SET UPS, REPAIRSAND SERVICINGI may not be the cheapest Resophonic repairer in the business but the one thing that sets me apart is that I take a pride in my work. Nothing leaves my shop until I'm satisfied that it is the best it can be. I just believe in fair prices for all. As my customers know I always try to follow up with a phone call after the job is done and the owner has had time to play the instrument. Upgrades can be performed on most resophonic guitars and these start at $170.00 ($200.00 tricone) for for upgrade and setup without a new cone. If you require an upgrade on your cone this will cost the upgrade price plus cone(s) cost. The difference between an upgrade and a setup is that the upgrade includes making a new bone nut, removing and replacing the saddle or biscuit bridge with a hand made and fitted saddle or biscuit bridge, recrowning the frets and flattening the spider bridge and cone seat. A properly set up resophonic guitar will benefit with increased tone, volume and sustain. I specialise in resophonic guitar set ups so the set up is something special. Your guitar can be set to your needs be it full finger style, combination of finger style and slide or full slide. Servicing a resophonic guitar is different to all other guitars. It is not just a matter of a fingerboard clean, neck adjustment and new strings. Things like cone cleaning, string seating and string break angles are critical to keep your guitar sounding its best. A full service costs $80.00 plus parts. Don't be fooled by people saying they can set up resophonic guitars. There are very few people in Australia who have the expertise to upgrade, setup or even service these guitars properly. I am the major supplier of quality resophonic parts in Australia and have dedicated my workshop to resophonic parts and setups. General guitar parts are also available. Repairs are charged at $60.00 per hour or by quote. E-mail or phone for details. Agent for Resophonic Outfitters U.S.A. GasketsMany vintage resonator guitars, especially the metal bodied ones, had gaskets between the cone and the cone seat. I have been experimenting for some time with ways of making gaskets. I've used neoprene, etc with good results but have gone back to cutting 0.6mm and 0.8mm automotive gasket paper and this works just fine to stop rattles because of slightly less than flat cones or cone seats. Given than less than 2% of sound actually travels through the cone seat gaskets are just the trick.I am at present making 2 types, a tricone set and a 9½" O style gasket. PRICES Tricone gaskets (set of 3)..............................$15.00 9½" O style gasket........................................$10.00 Cones:Donmo Tricone Sets (Australian Made). At last a set of Australian made tricones every bit as good as any imported set. They are hand spun and hand spiraled and the volume, tone and sustain is all it should be from a world class set of cones. I'm now using these in my own tricone. These are only available through this site. TriCone Set..........................$180.00 Greg Beeton 9½" Cones (Australian Made) Greg Beeton is Australia's foremost Brass body musical instrument maker and has a world wide reputation for his fine instruments. His instruments are world class and are played by many of the top resophonic players. His cones are no different. They not only look superb but have as good sustain and tone as anything on the market. The low midrange and bass is amazing and I'm using one myself. These cones can be bought seperately or can be specified in an upgrade. 9½" Cone...............................$140.00 Biscuit with ebony tip to suit.......$15.00
