Heaven AKA The Creative

This trigram is the symbol for pure yang. It is the half of the whole symbolized by T'ai Chi, and is thus an extreme state that requires to link with it's opposite half, Yin (The trigram called "Earth" or "The Receptive") to restore 'natural' balance. As such it seeks balance through expanding.

In the I Ching PLUS material, the position of the trigram reflects refinement, alchemical, processes at work such that in the LOWER position of a hexagram this trigram reflects Perseverence. In the UPPER position of a hexagram this trigrams reflects this perseverence doubled to represent Singlemindedness (Absolute Trust in oneself).

In the IDM template the trigram is representative of expansive blending and thus an overall bias to symbolising/seeking wholeness. (balance) but through differentiation (asserting one's own context to replace the existing) [In archetypal expression the trigram is 'burning' light to the degree of manifesting anger etc. In its typal expression the trigram is more representing the male]

In the realm of emotions this trigram reflects Anger and from that issues of Respect (and competive exchange) in that this trigram shares common roots with those of the trigram of Lake where the focus is on cooperative interactions, Intimacy, close exchange (also gets into bartering etc) but BOTH trigrams have a more generic focus, that of REPLACEMENT, be it by erradication (anger) or replication (sex).

In the Myers-Briggs/Keirsey systems of persona classification it is linked to XSTP/Operators and is mostly concerned with sensation seeking and thus integrating inner and outer to become 'one'. (balance). (e.g. Negotiators, Promoters, Trouble-shooters - it is the sensation of establishing (or re-establishing) balance 'outside' that is seeked.)

In Chinese Five-Phase theory, Heaven is linked to the concept of METAL and so the concept of EXCHANGE through Competition/Opposition.

The numeric link is to whole numbers. The Peircean Category is Firstness as Active/Explicit Stimulus with the emphasis on a PURE quality full of potentials.
