RAEME National Association Facebook Page

The RAEME National Association (RNA) now has a Facebook Page and also a Web presence. Please visit the Facebook page regularly as it is a very dynamic way of accessing the very latest articles, newsletters, posters/flyers, notes and items of Corps interest.

The page link is www.facebook.com/RAEMEAssociation  and articles can be sent to Paul Gibbs at mafiabook@hotmail.com. For those that do not know the history of the Mafia thing, it is a Victorian RAEME name used on a listing called the RAEME Mafia list in Melbourne. Paul is in Melbourne on posting at the moment and has linked the word Mafia and Facebook to come up with mafiabook as an email address for the National Facebook Page for all submissions and communications with the Administrators of the Facebook page.

The National Association also has a web site linked from the Facebook page at http://www.raeme.org.au/

The New Corps History Project

This is an exciting new venture sponsored by the Head of Corps and it entails a very different approach to the original Corps History Book was released in 1992.  At that time the internet was in its early days and social media was not available. Therefore it was developed by engaging an experienced historian and was very much a text supported by photographs approach.

The history project approach is quite exciting in that it takes full advantage of the on-line access and social media that we all now enjoy to have a collaborative approach to building up a pictoral history. The project has a very structured approach being run as a project with COL Ross Grant at its head and good team representation. The really powerful element of this approach is that provides the opportunity for individuals to be very involved and as such creates a lot of interest and Corps identity.

How the New Corps History Project Works

(Being Updated)

Corps Association Merchandise

The Victorian and Queensland Associations have produced a range of goods marked with RAEME Association emblems.  This includes items such as jackets, caps, badges and much more.

The Army Museum Bandiana

The Army Museum at Bandiana also has a range of RAEME merchandise.

The RAEME Craftsman Magazine

The RAEME Craftsman Magazine is available on line at http://walshmedia.realviewtechnologies.com/?xml=Craftsman and this site allows you to view the entire magazine on-line.

We have a large collection of details of earlier magazines via the Craftsman page on this site.  This page alone has links to no less than 60 pages of high resolution photographs and images and over 30 pages of text.  It includes images of all earlier magazine covers, an index to contents and unit jottings for all earlier magazines and every name ever mentioned in any page of all the earlier magazines or the Corps history book has been catalogued for searching.  It also includes periodic articles of interest.

The RAEME craftsman magazine distribution who would like to receive copies may contact the association or the SO2 Corps to assist in being added to the distribution list.  Over the years the association has received enquiries from people surprised to find that they have found relatives mentioned in magazines or the Corps history.  We welcome these enquiries and have responded to many of these queries by email including scanning relevant pages where needed.
